As a non-profit organization, donations play a major role in the annual budget and directly impacts the number of individuals we are able serve. By providing a donation, Learning Quest is able to enroll additional students and supply them with all the materials they need to prepare for their HSE.

How your donations help…

 

$25 – 10 Bus passes for our students

$50 – Entry level curriculum for one student

$75 – Student and tutor reference books for one level (Multiple levels needed)

$100 – Purchase software licenses for materials accessed online

$200 – Supply a family with a home library of at least 50 storybooks for their children

 

$300 – Covers the costs of helping one student receive one-on-one tutoring for an entire year. (This includes, recruitment, training, and monitoring of student and tutor progress)

$500 – Provides one student with a five month tuition free scholarship

Help someone learn English

Our literacy program offers one-on-one instruction for adult students who would like to improve their reading and writing skills in English. You would meet with your student twice a week for at least six months in a public setting. All of your materials will be provided for.

HSE (High School Equivalency) tutors assist instructors by providing one-on-one tutoring in adult basic education, math, reading, writing, science, and social studies to students earning their HSE certificate.  HSE tutoring opportunities are available in Modesto, Turlock, Patterson, and Oakdale.

Tutor adult students needing help in math. Tutoring can be done in a small group settings or individually. Subjects include basic math, algebra and geometry. Students will utilize provided curriculum to help them pass the challenging subject of math.

Tutor adult students who need help building their writing and comprehension skills. Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions. Students will use multiple tools to help them develop strong writing skills.

Help one or multiple English as Second Language students who need the extra help in improving their basic English skills.
